Responsibilities:
- Direct traffic to ensure the safety of pedestrians, motorists, and construction workers
- Set up and maintain work zones, including cones, signs, and barricades
- Communicate with construction crew and equipment operators to coordinate traffic flow
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while on the job site
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed
Requirements:
- Valid flagger certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Ability to stand for long periods of time in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills to effectively direct traffic and communicate with team members
- Knowledge of basic construction safety practices
- Ability to understand and follow instructions from supervisors
