As an Entry-Level Demand Planning Coordinator, you will support the Demand Planning team in forecasting book sales, analyzing market trends, and coordinating inventory levels to meet customer demand. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a keen interest in the publishing industry, and a desire to grow within supply chain and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of demand forecasts for frontlist and backlist titles.
- Monitor sales data and analyze historical trends to support accurate forecasting.
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather relevant data for planning.
- Support inventory optimization by tracking stock levels and suggesting replenishment strategies.
- Help prepare weekly and monthly reports on sales performance, inventory status, and forecast accuracy.
- Maintain planning tools, databases, and spreadsheets to ensure data integrity.
- Contribute to special projects aimed at improving forecasting processes and supply chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Publishing, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, basic formulas); familiarity with forecasting tools a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Interest or experience in the publishing industry preferred but not required.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
